Abstract: | A static shade dispersion (SSD) scheme is proposed in this paper for 4\times 4 TCT array to minimize partial shading conditions (PSCs) and improve the Photovoltaic array's maximum power. The proposed approach is to diffuse shading effects from one position to the next by rearranging the location of photovoltaic modules without changing electric connections, thus increasing the maximum power range. The performance of the proposed approach is validated under PSCs with other existing interconnections reported in the open-litertaure. In addition, a investigation study is conducted to for PV arrays by considering global maximum power point, fill-factor, and efficiency parameters to find the best PV array under PSCs. Ultimately, it is found that, relative to the other array interconnections, the proposed static shaded dispersion scheme increases the maximum output power. © 2020 IEEE. |
