dc.description.abstractA series of new pyrazolines 3a-m and isoxazoies 4a-k have been synthesized from 4-acetylthioanisole, 1 with aryl aldehydes through ?, ?-unsaturated ketones. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral studies. The newly synthesized title compounds have been tested for their analgesic and antiinflammatory activity. Some of the compounds exhibited encouraging results.en_US
